Modernizing Aid for Veterans

The Butler County Veterans Service Commission (BCSVC) in Ohio serves over 25,000 veterans, offering crucial help like transportation and financial aid. But their aging in-house scheduling software—built on outdated tech—was slowing them down and even freezing during high use. To keep up with growing needs, they issued a call for a modern solution.
Atomic Data, the Minneapolis-based IT solutions firm, stepped up. Known for their work with FC Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Museum Center, Atomic Data offered up a custom software development team that thoroughly impressed BCVSC leadership.
The partnership resulted in a major overhaul: modernized code through Azure DevOps, separate testing and production environments, and a secure Microsoft SQL database with a cleaner, more intuitive UI. The system now helps users select routes, automatically calculates mileage using Google Maps, and dramatically reduces workload—from 45 minutes per task to just 5–7.
Atomic Data engineers also implemented top-tier security practices, including code scanning and multi-factor authentication, plus tailored reporting features with hands-on training for the BCVSC staff.
Thanks to the upgrade, BCVSC’s operations are faster, more secure, and scalable.
“I was amazed… Atomic Data’s engineers took leadership from the moment they touched down.”

The Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) has always been more than just a museum. For nearly 2 million people every year, it’s a place of inspiration—where history, culture, and creativity come to life. So when a devastating cyberattack suddenly forced them to shut their doors and left staff unpaid, the impact was deeply felt, not just by the organization, but by the entire community they serve.
CMC’s internal IT team is sharp and capable, but this kind of attack was uncharted territory. They needed backup—and fast. That’s when Atomic Data stepped in.
Like with any cyber incident, rapid response was critical. Within 48 hours of the attack, a team of engineers and executives were on the ground, working side by side with CMC’s staff. Every day brought a flurry of strategy meetings, technical deep dives, and system migrations—all hands on deck.
Thanks to that swift action, the Museum was able to reopen its doors to the public just days later. But it didn’t stop at recovery—Atomic Data helped CMC come back stronger. The new IT environment was not only secure but tailored for long-term resilience. And with 24×7 monitoring now in place through Atomic Data’s Network Operations Center, CMC is better protected than ever before.
Today, CMC continues to be a vital force for education and culture in southern Ohio. And now, with peace of mind and a fortified digital foundation, they’re ready for whatever the future brings.
“Atomic Data made it easy to simply execute the plan.”

For more than two decades, Our Family Wizard (OFW) has supported separated families with tools that promote peaceful, transparent co-parenting. Behind the scenes, a talented team of developers and IT professionals works tirelessly to keep things running. But as the company grew, the limitations of its aging technology became apparent.
At the heart of the issue was OFW’s outdated Exchange server and a clunky shared inbox, which doubled as a makeshift ticketing system since the company’s founding in 2001. This inbox was slow, constantly in need of upkeep, and pulled valuable time and energy away from the IT team’s core mission: supporting their coworkers.
Recognizing the need for change, OFW made the decision to migrate to Exchange Online. While the move promised big improvements, the internal team lacked the hands-on experience to ensure a smooth transition without disrupting day-to-day operations. That’s where the Atomic Data team stepped in.
With around-the-clock support and deep experience managing complex Microsoft migrations, Atomic Data took on the project from planning to execution. Professional services engineers developed custom documentation, led user training, and scheduled the migration over a weekend to minimize disruption. Staff were right there to support them on Monday morning. At the outcome, the migration didn’t just modernize OFW’s tech—it freed their IT team to focus on helping people that help families.
